Performed in Bulgarian
In “Uncles” by the composer Lazar Nikolov and writer Ivan Vazov there is a congenial cooperative authors’ presence in the style of Modernism, just like in this European movement in the arts it has a typical new aesthetic expression and re-creation of reality, through new ways of creative thinking. In both great Bulgarian masters, one of the words, the other of music, though they lived in different epochs and in the distance of almost a century, we see an approach in their creative work which is ahead of their time. The parody and the ironic characteristic with both of them appears as a style of expression in the aspects of the literary and musical language of “UNCLES”. Both the music and the text in the context of the time, we can call avanguard phenomenon.”
