A MEMORY OF KAMEN CHANEV
Presentation of a documentary exhibition and videos with the participation of the performer
Kamen Chanev was born on 27 August in 1964 in Sliven. He finished the French School in his native city, and in 1991 he graduated from the State Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia. In 1992 he specialized in Rome, in the Academy of Boris Hristov. He worked with Alexandrina Miltcheva, Ghena Dimitrova, Leone Magiera/the pianist of Luciano Pavarotti/. He is laureate of the Competition “Jussi Bjorling” in Sweden. He successively worked in the Sofia Opera /1992-1997/ and in the Prague Opera /1997-1999/, after which he guest-performed on the great opera stages in Europe, Asia and the USA, including the Viennese Staatsoper, Arena di Verona. On 26 November 2020 in Stara Zafgora he died of COVID.
