The agile rhythm and the magnificent harmony in the musical dramaturgy of Puccini are at the basis of the high emotional level of the spectacle. The dynamic action is supported by the effective scenography and director’s decisions, in which the stage equipment is fully used – a rotating stage, movable and lifting platforms by which the place of the action is changed. The themes of the plot in La Boheme always sound topical. The youthful vitality, the belief in good and the impulse for change live in each new generation. “The world of La Boheme” is a world full of would-be and professional artists, young people – artists and unique individualities. The atmosphere of the action organically contains works by Toulouse-Lautrec and Paul Cezanne, Antoine Blanchard, Edward Cortes, who illustrate Paris at the end of 19th century. “Each picture breathes with a nostalgic spirit. This is a world of extraordinary happiness, where death comes whenever it wants. The power of Puccini is his ability to impress on all to re-live their lives again while sitting in the hall or suffer alone with his music for about two hours….”, shares the artist of the production Catalin Ionescu Arbore.
