Back and Forth is an opera-sketch composed by Paul Hindemith. The composer wrote it for the collection of operatic miniatures, presented at the Festival in Baden-Baden. Its duration is only 12 minutes. The action, like in a devilish palindrome, takes place forward and then backward – forward. A tragedy unfolds which comprises jealousy, murder and suicide. All this is repeated backwards, so the opera has a happy end.
Duration: 13 minutes without an antract
Performed in German with titles in Bulgarian
Premiere: 13 March 2018 – Chamber Stage „In the Pocket 234”
