Requiem (from Latin – Mass of the Dead) is the last, unfinished work of W. A. Mozart, on which he had been working just before his death – a mourning requiescat Mass, composed to a canonical text in Latin. The composition was finished by Mozart’s students, mainly by Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Regardless of this, the Requiem is one of the most famous works by Mozart and is viewed as one of the most important in his creative work.
Metropolitan Cyprian of Stara Zagora:
“The voices that eulogized the coming of Jesus to Earth belonged to Angels. The Angels’ Choir is the one that glorifies. So, at this moment, the human heart cannot remain indifferent to this joy – that God appears as a voice, as eulogy. God gave us voice so that we can communicate, God gave us voice to seek perfection. We can aspire to look for the truth every time, the faith in what we do, to be able to join in what God gave us and what He entrusted to you. He entrusted you with the care of the human souls. And you should know that music is for the intelligent people – they can understand it, they can feel it, they can seek the perfection.”
