Svetozar Ivanov is a graduate of the Foreign Language High School “Romen Rolan” in Stara Zagora, he graduated from the Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia and acquired a PhD degree in the University of Michigan. He is Professor in Piano in the University of South Florida, founder and artistic director of the Concert Cycle Steinway in Florida, teacher at the Festival for Chamber Music Green Mountain in Vermont, The Prague Piano Festival in the Czech Republic, and the Brancaleoni in Italy.

He has given concerts as a soloist and a chamber musician on prestigious world stages. All Music Guide, Fanfare Magazine and American Record Guide wrote with admiration about his disks: “Nakede Tango” was described as “incredibly original, moving, personal and musically immersive”, and the disk “Vers la flamme” received responses to performances “interpreted with power, greatness and utter confidence”. About the “Echo” disk a critic wrote: “The most distinctive gift of Ivanov is his ability to attract us spiritually inside, which creates in us the feeling of approaching the unknown.” “Dream Images” was described as “exceptional and enticing”, and his latest album “Intermissions” – as “full of maturity, deep expressiveness and dignity.”

Together with his traditional recitals, Svetozar Ivanov also creates and presents concerts and film performances, in which different arts are mixed /documentary and experimental films, animation, poetry, dance, streaming/. His recent film projects include DVD “Perpetual Tango”, “Music of Shadows” and “Poetry Series” /a sequence of 12, films inspired by poetry/.
