The Diptych includes the first opera by Puccini Le Villi /The Forest Fairies/, a traditional melodrama in combination with genius composing creativity. Gianni Schicchi projects the future in the history of the opera. The two works are connected by a storyteller and Divine Comedy by Dante, through which is formed the connection between the tragic and the comic operas. These are different musical languages, different directions of the characters, different stories, but always near our reality, situations and emotions. In the words of Puccini “The opera should be entertaining or emotional and intriguing. In this case we can show both kinds. The opera should touch our emotions and in both cases we will feel it. The opera should retell our stories and we should identify in them.”
