Slavcho Nikolov

He graduated from the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”, major subject Opera Singing /Bachelor’s Degree/ in the class of Prof. Asen Selimski and acquired Master’s Degree in Opera Directing at the New Bulgarian University in the class of Associate Prof. Nina Naydenova, PhD, and Simeon Simeonov.
Since 2012 he has been director at the Stara Zagora State Opera and the Plovdiv State Opera. His first self-produced spectacle is the opera for children „The Joyful Musicians” by Al. Vladigerov. There followed “The Barber of Seville” by Rossini /adaptation for children/, nominated for the Prize of the Union of the Bulgarian Musicians and Dancers in Bulgaria “Crystal Lyre” in the category “Staging Team” (2013).
Since 2017 he has been vice-director of the Stara Zagora State Opera.
